Attending college fairs are important! They can:

  • Provide information on schools you have never heard of
  • Help you navigate the complex decision making process on which schools you will apply to
  • Give you insight on the type of schools that are available (you have many options)
  • Create an opportunity to speak directly with admissions officers for schools you are most interested in (show demonstrated interest)
  • Build your confidence in speaking with admissions officers
  • Open your eyes to the MANY opportunities available to you – with over 4 thousand schools in the US, NACAC college fairs are a great place to start
  • Save you money as you simply cannot visit that many schools that are far away from home
  • Give you a chance to attend special information sessions that may interest you (financial aid, applications etc.)
  • Help you learn about special summer/internship programs available that you never knew about
