Today's world brings many challenges that seem to weigh us down and prevent us from living the life we want. I believe that everyone has the potential to be the person they want to be; as an experienced therapist I am passionate about working alongside clients to allow them to find their own solutions to bring about long lasting changes. My therapeutic work uses a variety of theoretical models and techniques to suit the needs of the client and has helped clients with stress, depression, anxiety, self-esteem and confidence, self-harm, suicidal ideation, bereavement and loss, and relationship issues.
I am an integrative counsellor, who works creatively with older children, adolescents and adults. I offer a confidential, safe and supportive, non-judgemental space for you to explore the issues of concern. I work face-to-face with clients, but continue to work online via Zoom if required.
I provide long and short-term counselling depending on the needs of the client, based on mutually agreed goals and time frame. Longer term therapy, in particular, can be distressing but to work through long held thoughts in a supported environment can be healing and give resolution for the client. As an accredited member of the National Counselling Society I adhere to its ethical framework.
A good working relationship is essential in counselling. For adults, I provide a free 30 minute initial consultation, either by phone or face to face; to allow you to assess if counselling is right for you at this time and that you feel comfortable with me. For children and young people under the age of 15 the 50 minute introductory and assessment session is priced at £20. It is important to consider carefully whether to go ahead and I will give you space to make your decision freely.
