As part of my working background, I have been a Manager for many years within the creative arts, which means I have had the experience and pleasure to work with many aspects of the community and to see how mental and physical health is very clearly joined together. Following this I worked in the mental health sector for over 10 years where I was able to complete my Diploma as a Psychotherapist.
I can offer mindfulness, meditation, a safe and confidential space and personally feel that listening to someone else is one of the most powerful tools to have available. My approach is person centred which means that you come first and my aim is to work safely together to develop coping skills for a more positive future. Having worked as a Manager in a mental health crisis house, I have a broad knowledge of different stressors, triggers, feelings of anxiety and stress and truly understand how difficult life can be sometimes for everyone. I have experience in working with bereavement, relationships, addictions and trauma, both from the past and present. I can offer face to face support, or online and telephone counselling if preferred. Within my practice I can offer two therapy spaces. One is a calm and relaxed lounge area and the other is an outdoor cabin that lends itself well for relaxation and mindfulness. Please do not hesitate to contact me at Atlas Therapy for a chat to see if this is something that will suit you.
Thank you Rachel
