I am a fully qualified psychotherapist and trauma therapist. I offer in-person sessions at my private practice in Orpington, Kent and in Belgravia, Central London (SW1), very close to Victoria Station. Additionally, I provide online therapy to clients across the United Kingdom.
I specialise in the impacts of trauma, including childhood neglect, sexual abuse, narcissistic abuse, domestic violence, serious accidents, illness, workplace trauma, and financial stress. I also support clients with issues including depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship issues, life transitions, disordered eating, and body image concerns. Additionally, I have experience working with high-net-worth individuals and understand the unique challenges they may bring to therapy.
In my work with clients I provide support using a trauma-informed approach, which means rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" I am instead more interested in asking, "What's happened to you?" Because usually the issues we struggle with have a direct link to what we have been through in life.
The aim of therapy is to help you to understand, process and overcome your experiences, and develop enhanced inner strength and resilience. By cultivating these qualities you can better manage future challenges. My role is to guide you in processing past events and shape the life you desire through purposeful, positive changes, which may include changes in behaviour, thought patterns, relationships, and other aspects of your well-being and happiness.
I provide a safe, supportive space for clients to understand and overcome their experiences, fostering empowerment so they can take control of their life. I guide clients in creating the life they want, helping them align their decisions with their values and goals.
I hold public liability and indemnity insurance, an Enhanced DBS certificate, and practice under the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
