Attending college fairs are important! They can:
- Provide information on schools you have never heard of
- Help you navigate the complex decision making process on which schools you will apply to
- Give you insight on the type of schools that are available (you have many options)
- Create an opportunity to speak directly with admissions officers for schools you are most interested in (show demonstrated interest)
- Build your confidence in speaking with admissions officers
- Open your eyes to the MANY opportunities available to you – with over 4 thousand schools in the US, NACAC college fairs are a great place to start
- Save you money as you simply cannot visit that many schools that are far away from home
- Give you a chance to attend special information sessions that may interest you (financial aid, applications etc.)
- Help you learn about special summer/internship programs available that you never knew about
