What would you need to overcome a period of crisis and trauma? To replace destructive lifestyle patterns with positive ones? And to succeed in your Personal and Professional Transformation? You would need a Conversation With Impact. A Conversation With Impact makes the difference you are after by giving you what your existing conversations cannot or will not. Too many people live with persistent difficulties and challenges because they are having conversations that fail to give them what they need.
It was a Conversation With Impact that shaped who I am and what I do. At one time, my own life took a destructive path and my mental health deteriorated. It was a coach/therapist who gave me a Conversation With Impact and put my life back together. Putting my life back together began with volunteering for a project in South East London. The project, which offered respite to families with children living with conditions such as autism, proved to be the start of my new career. Although it took a while to sink in, my volunteering gave me a sense of meaning and purpose that had been lacking.
In 2005 I qualified as a therapist and then later as a life and executive coach and I discovered what it feels like to contribute. My real strength is the ability to provide coaching and therapy because for many people their issues do not fall neatly into any one personal or professional category.
If you work with me you can choose either individual sessions or my Transformation Programmes. Either way you get to work through the 6 stages of my I.M.P.A.C.T. Model:
IMPACT: A Conversation With Impact to make the difference you are after MEANING: Making sense of why things are as they are to live with meaning PATTERNS: Identifying negative patterns and replacing them with positives ACCEPTANCE: Finding acceptance as your real self, someone full of potential
CHALLENGE: Making challenge work for you, not against you TRANSFORMATION: Learning the art of transformation
“I met Mark during a difficult time when everything in my life was unknown and volatile. Through several sessions I was able to utilise the guidance provided to eventually find my way through the unknown and come out a much happier and successful person. A great professional with a charming personality, he made our sessions something I looked forward to. His therapy and coaching experience enabled me to implement changes throughout my life both on a professional and personal level. Mark played a key part in rebuilding my confidence and no doubt I wouldn’t have gotten where I am now without him. Mark is incredible at what he does!” Hayley O’Neill
Why choose me?
My I.M.P.A.C.T. Model, developed since 2005 and with thousands of clients, can help you to achieve your Personal and/or Professional Transformation. The 6 stages of my I.M.P.A.C.T. model address the non-negotiable stages of change we all must go through if we are to overcome our difficulties and achieve our challenges. As a result, you will never be lost on your journey and will always know the way to your destination.
My ability to provide both therapy and coaching means I can safely support you through difficult and challenging periods and then, when you are in a good place, enable you to complete your journey of Personal and/or Professional Transformation. In simple terms, working with me will enable you to be more and do more in life.
I have extensive therapeutic experience working with a range of mental health conditions and wellbeing issues: stress & anxiety/anxiety disorders, panic attacks, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, trauma, anger, depression, relationships, addictions/obsessions/compulsions and professional issues encountered at work. As a coach I have experience working with people across many areas of their Personal and Professional Transformation, such as confidence-building, raising self-esteem and developing assertiveness. I have specific interests working with problem eating (mild-to-moderate, not Eating Disorders) and supporting the mental health and wellbeing of people in business/business owners.
I have a strong belief in myself as a practitioner. One of the best if not THE best predictor for successful outcomes in therapy is the belief a therapist has in themselves and their approach. Research suggests that clients need their therapist to have these high levels of belief if they are to overcome their own difficulties.
Personalised support, not a one-size-fits-all approach
My I.M.P.A.C.T. model has been designed to meet your individual needs and circumstances, be they Personal and/or Professional in nature. I make you the boss in our sessions which means from the first session you get to shape our work together in a way that suits you - not me. In other words I don't offer a one-size-fits-all approach but will work collaboratively with you to find the combination of approaches that are right for you.
And because you're the boss you get to offer me feedback throughout our time together so that: I know what is or isn't working, whether we are on track or not and what I need to do more or less of to ensure you get what you came for.
As someone with both therapeutic and coaching experience I often work with people who start off in therapy and who then move into coaching as their focus shifts from overcoming their difficulties to creating a meaningful and fulfilling life both at home and at work.
