I have lived and worked in beautiful Carmarthenshire for many years. I qualified as a Counsellor in 2000 and as a Supervisor in 2015, working for the Carmarthenshire Counselling Service, EAP's and in private practice. I have many years experience of working with Domestic Abuse which often has a huge impact mental health and well being.
My training is in Integrative counselling/supervision, grounded in a Person Centred approach along with Mindfulness, Relaxation and Rewind techniques to work with issues of Domestic Abuse, Trauma, Loss, Bereavement, Anxiety and Depression to help my clients discover their own clarity and inner peace. I believe that we all have the answer to our difficulties hidden deep inside, but we often need help to realise and connect with this.
I feel that counselling is a collaborative process where the counsellor and client work together to discover the client’s own unique way of being, to find what works for them, as we are all different. This is an approach steeped in a gentle compassion and acceptance. A journey that can lead to a sense of peace and freedom which allows the client to be themselves and to realise that they are a wonderful, unique person.
