Welcome. Whatever brings you here, please know that you are not wrong for struggling, suffering or seeking support.

Therapy can help you to resolve, manage or come to terms with distress and difficulties, restore healthy functioning, and support your whole being. Here you'll find empathic, professional guidance in coping with personal challenges or psychological difficulties, space for self-enquiry, and encouragement to experience life that fulfils you.

My approach aims to support you to:

• Find solid ground when things feel unsteady.
• Experience relief and more space around the thoughts, feelings, behaviours or events that are difficult or taking over.
• Develop new awareness which provides a clearer perspective on what is happening and can guide your actions.
• Allow things to move, when ready, bringing change and flow to areas that may be stuck.
• Enrich connections including the relationship you have with yourself, with others, and the things that matter most to you.
• Grow confidence in being who you are, unlearning what you are not, so you can live with greater freedom in each moment.

I personally know the immense value of this work, which means you can be assured that I offer this with the greatest care and respect, appreciating the courage it might take and the gifts it can give.

As a qualified, experienced therapist working with adults, I use a range of therapeutic methods which I integrate into a tailored approach for each individual to support emotional healing, insight and personal growth. My practice most often aligns with modern ‘third wave’ psychotherapies, which offer a variety of tools and practices to help with inner exploration and effective responding to life's challenges and opportunities.

It is always inspiring to see the transformations that can happen within people in this space, as the layers of disconnection and discomfort that built up in life are able to be processed and the essential self is supported to shine through with a greater sense of wholeness and ease. These shifts can be simple and specific or profound and far-reaching.

I love being able to contribute with compassion to good mental health support and wellbeing for all.

Please do get in touch if you would like to know more about my work or to arrange an initial discussion.

Beyond private practice counselling, I also work in a team at the University of Exeter supporting the mental health of students.

Previously I worked in social research examining what affects and supports child development. Several years later I moved into social prescribing which involved connecting people of all ages to positive activities, groups and support services in the community to enhance their wellbeing. Prior to these roles I completed degrees in Psychology (BSc & MSc).
