I am an accredited and experienced integrative counsellor and counselling supervisor with good knowledge of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Humanistic theory and Psychodynamic theory.
Trained in both long term and short-term therapeutic settings, as well as using online therapies or resources, telephone counselling and using services such as Skype or Zoom.
I possess experience working within the NHS IAPT sector , including working with long- term health conditions, working within the crisis intervention sector, as well as working alongside specialist services including the armed forces and ex-offender services.
I have been working in the industry since 2007 and have an extensive history of working with a large diversity of clients including children, adolescents and adults. I am a experienced CAMHS therapist , as well as working with adults within both the private and public sector.
I have experience working with key workers and frontline staff throughout the Covid19 pandemic, as well as working with communities effected by distressing and traumatic events.
Through my career I have set up multiple charity based support groups and services, including services for refugees , personality disorders, and groups for those hearing voices. I have appeared in several media campaigns regarding mental health and have held radio and TV interviews with news channels.
I am fully accredited by both the National Counselling Society ( NCS ) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) . I am fully insured and have completed several extra training courses on data security and management in line with GDPR.
