My interest in people and the things they do has, I now realise, been a constant in my life. Having spent the best part of a quarter of a century in the corporate world until fearing that my soul would die if I didn’t make a change it became obvious to me that part of the secret of my relative success was that, aside from being engaged with the tasks and projects I was involved with, it was really the other human beings that I worked with who gave me the motivation and the desire to keep moving forward.
After a rather disappointingly cliched meltdown in early mid-life I started to re-evaluate everything. I retrained in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and Hypnotherapy, left corporate life to go it alone and I have never looked back.
All of our experiences are unique, however similar they look, but I have a lot of first hand experience of both digging myself into holes and then finding my way back out of them. Loss, pain, change, joy, success, failure have all been companions at one time or another and I try and use all of them to help me work with my clients to support them in their own investigations about “what next?”
I am passionate about learning, my family, music, food and writing.
I also write a weekly blog about mental health and self development which you’ll find on my website
