Feeling over-whelmed, stressed, anxious, experiencing panic attacks or just feeling down? or maybe trying to make a big decision? At these times, it can really help to talk things through with someone not directly involved. Although it may feel daunting and takes courage to reach out for help in challenging times, it can be invaluable, in helping us to explore different ways of looking at the problem and gain new perspectives, which can lead to positive change.
I am an experienced Counsellor and Therapeutic Coach, with experience of working in the NHS and University settings. I work with people aged 18 and over, long/short term, who want to manage anxiety, stress, overcome low mood, boost confidence, build self-esteem and resilience.
I offer a gentle, non-judgmental, and supportive form of Counselling and Coaching, both positive steps for self-development and problem solving.
If you are not sure which is for you:
Counselling sessions provide a safe, confidential space to say what you need to say and explore different ways of looking at a problem. You can work out a way forward, which can lead to positive change. You may feel less anxious, sleep better which allows improved decision making.
Counselling helps with anxiety, stress, worry, loss and relationships
Coaching can be a recipe for well-being, helping you to identify what emotional needs are not being met in your current lifestyle. Coaching is supportive, impartial, and non-judgmental, it is helpful when you are stuck at a crossroads and looking to make a change in your life.
Coaching aims to provide the essentials of good mind management and provide a toolbox of easily understandable skills to help you respond mindfully to life events, make good choices, and move towards your preferred future.
Coaching helps with issues of procrastination, increases confidence, builds resilience, decision making, life or career direction, feeling stuck.
I adhere to the NCS Ethical Frameworks. I attend regular Supervision to support my work. Fully insured, and DBS checked.
I work Face to Face at Hamblin Hall, Bosham, West Sussex and at the Forum, in central Chichester. I also work with Telephone or on-line Counselling using Zoom - which can be just as powerful, and has the benefit of allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home (providing you have a private and confidential space) This also has the benefit of allowing me to be more flexible in arranging appointments.
