Hi, I am Maria a counsellor and hypnotherapist with 5 years post qualified experience. I have spent 4 years in a hospital setting working alongside Macmillan, working with patients and family members. I have run support groups with Macmillan and Jos cervical cancer trust. i am a qualified facilitator of the Hope course. I currently work in private practise, focusing on patients who are affected by physical illness and the emotional impact this may have on their lives.
I see my work as an adjustment to you and your needs. A collaborative process between you and I.
I am experienced in working with health related issues, anxiety, sleep, hospital stays, pre/ post surgery, recovery and rehabilitation, grief and loss and bereavement as well as relationships, self esteem and self worth and identity issues relating to health and life stages.
I also work and have experience of working with more general mental health issues.
