Hello I'm Sam
As well as being a Therapist, I was a Sedation Nurse for 10 years helping many anxious and frightened patients get through their treatments. I am very accustomed to seeing a variety of extreme emotions and behaviour in people. I have a strong sense of empathy and apply this to see your situation through your eyes.
People often feel relief when someone understands their problem on a deeper level. I will be warm, calming and respectful towards you no matter what you say, and hopefully you will trust me enough to tell me your story. Counselling is about listening, but also an opportunity to learn new skills and techniques. I like to help people to become experts on themselves, and any skills you learn will continue to help you in the future.
My experience within nursing: working with children, caring for seniors, phobias, anxiety & depression, various mental disorders and disabilities, Cancer sufferers.
