Hello, I’m Andy.
You can find all about what I do by visiting my web site at well-life-counselling.co.uk.
If you are going through tough times and are looking for someone to talk to who will fully listen to what you want to say, without judgement, then you’ve come to the right place. I’m here to help you find a way through whatever distress you are facing right now. You can call me, confident in the knowledge that I will listen with respect and acknowledge your feelings and there is no obligation to continue into counselling if you don’t want to and your initial call will be completely free of charge. I offer a FREE initial 30 minute consultation via Zoom, Skype, Whatsapp Video or Telephone - it will give you the chance to see how it feels to make your worries known to someone else and whether talking to me feels right for you, before you commit time and money to counselling. Let me help you as you take this step into counselling.
A little bit about me…
Before entering the world of counselling and psychotherapy I was in the IT industry for many years, engaged in engineering, consultancy and management. I’m a family man and value the well-being of those around me. Over the years I’ve seen first-hand how life can sometimes throw us off course, particularly when bad things happen. I’ve learned that our past experiences can have a profound effect on our lives today: the way we feel, cope and act, particularly when put under stress. Sometimes it’s not at all clear how we came to feel the way we do and at other times it’s obvious. In any case, when we need to make sense of it and feel relief from distress, whatever form that takes, talking about it seems to be the last thing we want to do. In my experience, however, talking about it is a fundamentally good thing and talking about it to a professional counsellor like me is even better. Your past experiences do not have to define your present or your future. I’m able to help you make sense of how you feel and to bring a fresh perspective. You have the power to change how you feel and I can help you do it.
If you choose to continue into counselling with me we will meet regularly in one of my counselling rooms, privately and with the promise of confidentiality. We can also work remotely via video or telephone if that is more appropriate to your circumstances. I’ll do everything I can to provide a relaxed environment where you can express and explore your feelings. We will review our progress regularly and, together, we will move towards positive change and relief from whatever distress you are currently feeling. Let me help you. Call me today and take the first step to feeling better.
More about my work...
At Well Life Counselling, I provide counselling services to individuals and groups in the north west of England, predominantly in and around the city of Lancaster in Lancashire. I also work nationally via video, telephone or email. The types of problems covered include trauma, stress and anxiety, bereavement, anger, depression, relationships, coping with change, personal growth and motivation, abuse and many more where talking through your problems with a professional counsellor can help bring a new perspective and equip you with the power to find your own solutions and move towards positive change.
Formerly head of a team of therapists, in the charitable sector, providing help to those affected by cancer, whether that be someone diagnosed with cancer, those caring for them or those bereaved due to cancer. I also volunteer as a supervisor in a national bereavement charity and I'm an associate therapist within the Lancashire Constabulary. Furthermore, I am a lecturer in counselling skills and theory, enabling the next generation of counsellors find their place within the counselling profession.
Give me a call today and let me help you.
