I like solutions, I like to help my client's investigate the issues, situations or  problems that they may be experiencing, I couldn't/wouldn't profess to knowing or having any resolutions. 

Sometimes we think we are looking for answers when actually we are merely investigating and seeking out some kind of understanding, it is all well and good having 'answers' but to deeply understand how and why we got here or that it is like this, can be much more beneficial.

I am happy to spend our session helping to investigate their situation and work out if there is an understanding that provides them with a solution to their problem or situation.

I only help clients I can't solve for them.

What you are going through right now? :- We all have things going on in our lives which can cause us to question ourselves or our ability and when this happens it is difficult to seek help and assistance.

In the past people have believed that seeking help is a sign of weakness, and yet few people would think twice about using a washing machine, or put reading glasses but will still seek the help that comes from having a machine clean your clothes or making the words easier to read.

We get help and assistance every single day of our lives in some way, shape or form, why should assistance with our own personal or individual stuff be any different?

How is this current situation affecting your day to day life? :- We never think about that extra pressure we have been putting upon ourselves by trying to manage everything that is going on.

We often try to go through life acting as if there isn’t any difficulty or situation that is currently going on for us, or that has been going on for sometime now and the pressure of keeping up this pretence is known to add more stress, anxiety, complications and upset.

What make you believe that you have to carry this burden on your own, and for so long as well? :- Historically therapy has been understood as being something that is for people who are suffering from some serious mental health issues.

Therapy is good for everything, for celebrating the good things as well as a place to analyse and understand the negative stuff that regularly happens in life.

When is the right time to start looking at that burden? :- Now! (would be the quick answer to that), what benefit do you achieve by unnecessarily holding on to the pain and upset you are going through, Just knowing you are doing something for yourself can bring great relief.

Where is the weight of all that you are carrying being felt? :- Finally where are you feeling the effects of all that pressure, stress, anxiety, doubt and negativity, allow yourself to release some of that weight let us share the burden, if a box is too heavy to carry by one person it is never questioned that you would seek help to carry it, finding that one person that could help you to shoulder some of it lessens the load on you which can free up breathing, thinking and rationally work through things that seemed impossible before.

I am fully qualified integrative psychotherapist and clinical supervisor.

I have experience of over five thousand client hours.

I work with adults only.

I truly believe that a clients autonomy is the most important elements of therapy and I encourage my clients to be as frank and forthright as they wish in my sessions.

I have gained a wide range of experience and qualifications in various mental health presentations, mostly covering :- stress, anxiety, confidence, self esteem, imposter syndrome, trauma, relational problems, LGBTQ+ topics, kink awareness.

I offer support for my clients and encourage them to be their true selves in my therapy room this means they never have to say sorry, I challenge my client’s viewpoint, this has more often than not been because that viewpoint was negative and aimed my client themselves, I have challenged many a client by asking them to prove the negative understanding they have.

I can sometimes use swear words and encourage my clients to be equally comfortable to express themselves in whatever way is comfortable for them, if I do curse in our session please understand it is never my desire to upset or cause any offence.
