After 15 years working with people worldwide in the travel industry, I decided I wanted to be able to use my communication and connection skills in a deeper and more therapeutic manner to help people. I am an integrative therapist with a person-centred foundation underlying my approach. I am very aware how creating safe space and a strong therapeutic relationship is intrinsic to facilitating people’s self-exploration. I tailor each session to the individual needs of the client, working with a non-judgemental and empathic attitude to create a relaxed and secure environment.
Our process together would begin with an initial consultation (30-45mins) which I offer for free. This is our opportunity to see if we are suited to working together on whatever you wish to address in your counselling journey. Currently, I am doing these initial consultations on Zoom/Skype or over the phone due to the ongoing COVD-19 pandemic. Following on from this, we will schedule sessions in the way that best suits your needs.
I am engaged in regular reflective practice and enjoy expanding my learning through a variety of CPD courses. In my own life, I value meditation and mindfulness practices as being a key part of taking care of my physical and mental well-being.
I work with older children (12+) and adults. I have experience working with stress, anxiety, chronic pain, depression, domestic abuse, relationships, sexuality, grief/loss, behavioural issues and addiction/alcoholism. I currently also work voluntarily for two charities counselling young people affected by domestic abuse, and with people in addiction recovery. Additionally, I am a Director of The Connection Project CIC working to provide counselling, holistic therapy and yoga programs to vulnerable members of the community in West Norfolk and surrounding areas.
I am a registered accredited member of the National Counselling Society, and the National Hypnotherapy Society. I am fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS check.
