That first step into counselling can feel daunting. My priority is to welcome you when we meet. I'm qualified, experienced and offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation, usually within a week of contact, weekday and some Saturday sessions are available.

We all find things hard at times in our lives. When we do, it can be good to work through our thoughts and feelings with someone who seeks to understand, not judge us, and offers helpful reflection on our situation.

I am experienced working with adults, young people and children. I am trained in several therapeutic approaches that I draw on flexibly depending on what works for you. I believe each person has their own inherent resources and potential for change and growth. A good counselling relationship helps activate that potential by the counsellor and client working together. I am a creative counsellor and where appropriate will use therapeutic tools such as art and sand tray therapy when working with children and young people.

You can email me at or leave a message on my confidential answerphone. There's no need to provide a detailed message - just contact details and an expression of interest. I usually respond within two working days.

Qualifications & Experience:

I hold a degree in linguistics and communication and a Professional Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I have been a full-time counsellor for several years and am a visiting therapist for several schools. I have worked with Cruse Bereavement UK for 6 years as a bereavement counsellor.

I can help concerns including, not restricted to, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger, low mood, social, family and relationship issues. I also offer bespoke packages to families experiencing life-changing SEN or disability assessment, this may include parent/carer counselling, aid with form filling and preparation for medical appointments.
