I am a great believer that there is no one size fits all and that in order to facilitate wholeness and achieve healing each person needs to be considered as a whole. Being skilled in a variety of different approaches gives me the ability to help each one of my clients to achieve a healthy alliance between their mind and body. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to face and focus on their fears and hurts that limit their psychological freedom, where client learn to identify and recognise their specific triggers that may be causing disruptive patterns of behaviour, where clients can achieve a sense of empowerment and develop confidence to start setting goals and practicing new behaviours that will enable them to move beyond their limitation and discover life satisfaction.
I work with a variety of clients with various presenting issues, such as anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, low self-worth, irrational thinking and trauma. For several years now, I have also been counselling as an accredited specialist in different forms of addiction. My training at University level includes Psychology, Psychotherapy and Counselling. I am a registered Counsellor with the National Counselling Society (NCS) and abide by their code of ethics. NCS code of ethics can be found at NCS | Code of Ethics (nationalcounsellingsociety.org)
In my individually tailored therapeutic approach each client can benefit from an integrated theoretical knowledge and practical skills learned from approaches such as, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Transactional Analysis, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing just to name a few.
