During these uncertain times life can feel overwhelming. I can listen and help you to explore your emotions in a safe, non-judgemental space. I have a compassionate and holistic approach to counselling with my ethos being to ‘Help the client to help themselves’. I can help you to explore your past and present life experiences to help you ‘to be the best you can for yourself and others’.
My back-ground is early years using the Montessori approach and holistic therapy. This has given me the foundation for my counselling work as a Therapeutic counsellor. Putting the client at the centre and exploring their whole life picture. I can explore attachment styles with the client both as a child and an adult and the impact this may have on relationships. Often in life when we hold on to emotions and feelings from our past, they can stop us from moving forward and achieving our full potential however big or small this maybe for the individual client.
I am an integrative counsellor using a 'Person Centred' approach as the foundation of my therapy using ‘Carl Rogers’ core conditions of empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard to help form a positive therapeutic alliance. I use cognitive behavioural therapy, Humanistic, and Psychodynamic approach within my counselling depending on the individual client needs.
I work with adults and young people with depression, Anxiety, stress, low self-esteem and low self-worth, relationship issues (family, partners, work relationships), self-harm, addiction, eating issues, clients going through life changes, loss and bereavement. Currently due to the pandemic I am working with clients using zoom and telephone sessions.
