Hi there,
My background has been quite varied over the years, working in the NHS as a general registered nurse then branching out more into the holistic avenues which now includes working within the counselling field.
I work primarily as a person centred counsellor but my training was integrative so I am able to bring in techniques from other modalities if and when the need arises
I work with clients experiencing a wide range of issues including relationship difficulties, bereavement and loss, childhood trauma, low self-esteem and confidence.anxiety, depression.
I have worked in a number of settings, including with Cruse, a bereavement charity. I am aware that grief affects a lot of individuals in many different ways and it does not always need to be the loss of a relative; grief is also associated with loss of jobs/relationships/pets, and it can influence our lives in many ways.
Working ethically and within the NCS framework I hope to provide a safe, effective and non-judgmental environment where we can explore your particular difficulties together, and draw on a variety of therapeutic modalities to find a way which is specific to your needs
