Hi Welcome, thanks for logging onto to my profile.

Sharon Cresswell MNCPS, NCPS(Accred)

I am a fully qualified ‘Integrative' professional Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, accredited by the National Counselling Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) having gained a broad experience in life skills, which are transferable and with my training - I aim to support clients in their challenging life circumstances, to strive together with perplexing issues and to get ‘unstuck’ from adopted negative behaviours, or patterns (NATS) and adopt other strategies to apply in life. The core is Person-Centred.

We live in challenging and stressful times, but we can look for calm and healing, and adopt other strategies to apply in life. I have particular personal life experience; in the following areas: marriage, and close relationships, young people and children, I am married and have two grown daughters and have hosted likely over a 100 international students, short and long-term stays for over a decade. I have also worked in the Care industry as a HCP and, in productions on Media-projects in Health Care, some on Mindfulness, and in Educational sectors. In business run (though small) companies, yet with influential prestigious customers.

I offer a reflective, flexible and supportive approach to counselling. Collaborating with you the client in sessions, using the appropriate approach with a person centred therapy, for you at its core, yet choosing the correct approach therapy ’tool(s)’ from the therapy box, is the integrative option/way, so to apply CBT, Mindfulness, Gestalt, and Person-Centred Therapy separately, or combine them in sessions, which are then conducted in a confidential non-judgemental and safe space, (either face-to-face on-line or via telephone call).

I Incorporate too creative processes, as the client (you) invites. My pathway developed In my Fine Art graduate practice, which specialised in the aesthetic and therapeutic exploration of identity, family, memory, the body, and loss. I have had experience of personal loss and dealt directly on issues around bereavement. I also use movement dance and Gestalt body-process and sound as appropriate. I incorporate objects or photographs (agreed with clients choice) and use visualisations in the work if appropriate to the clients process. I have had continual professional development training, so CPD’s are specified in qualifications.

Whatever the issue be for you whether it is an of emotional, physical, relational, or of a financial nature, with realistic aims and goals I am available, honoured and humbled to discuss the idea of facing and managing and resolving them together.
