Do you feel like life should feel better? Are you in a dark place and trying to find the light? My name is Shanice and I am an REBT therapist, but a human first. I’ve experienced anxiety and depression and understand how hopeless struggling with your mental health can feel. I help people to manage life better and to realise that there is light. I do this by helping you to identify the underlying belief that is creating your pain and going through a structured process of changing that belief.
If you are not used to talking about your problems or are the quieter type, don’t worry, I’ve been there! I am here to patiently guide you through the process at a pace that works for you. This is not a one size fits all and I understand that different people have different needs.
People come to therapy for a range of reasons and whatever your reason, I provide a safe space to discuss and explore your problem and any feelings or thoughts relating to it.
I specialise in depression and anxiety related problems, but can also help with a wide range of emotional disturbance relating to things such as; jealousy, hurt, anger, guilt and envy.
Whilst I am based in Redhill, I work online via zoom.
What to expect from your first session:
In the initial session, we will do some information collecting- standard things such as name, address, background information on any key life events etc. Please note: all the information you provide is confidential. The only reason that information would be shared with a third party would be if there was a concern over the safety of yourself or someone else and I would alert you if I need to break confidentiality. We can discuss this more in person.
If you would like to have an initial call to ask more questions before you commit to the first, I offer a free 15minute phone call to do so. If you do decide to start therapy, then decide after a few sessions that it is not for you for any reason, there is no obligation to stay.
