My passion is supporting children (11+), teenagers and adults around a variety of life's challenges. My work with young people has enabled them to navigate the changes and complexities of the adolescent years focusing on self-harm, bullying, anxiety, low self-esteem, friendship groups, bereavement, changing family dynamics, ADHD, autism and suicidal thoughts. I have also sensitively explored with them their online world, their safety online and its impact across areas of their life. Promoting understanding and healthier coping and communication mechanisms underpins my work with teenagers.
My adult counselling work has focused on difficult childhood experiences and how these play out in current relationships, bereavement, anger, anxiety, depression, ADHD and suicidal ideation. Working with military charities, I have had the privilege of supporting service leavers to successfully navigate their transition into civilian life.
My aim is to support my clients to raise awareness, develop choices and promote change in their life. I offer a flexible integrative approach to meet the learning styles of my clients. Choosing the right counsellor is important, so I offer a free 30 minute consultation over the phone to ensure I am the best professional to work with you. If we decide that your needs are out of my professional scope, I will advise you on how to find the right therapist for you.
