Hello, my name is Paula, and I believe through the process of counselling you can feel supported and safe to voice your worries and concerns. I feel privileged to be able to listen, hear and support others in their journey of restoring balance back into their life. Many people seek therapy when they are at a time in their life when they are feeling, lost, low, vulnerable or experiencing difficult challenges and want their life to change for the better. I provide time and a confidential safe space to help you explore your thoughts and feelings, to identify the small steps to help you move forward and understand answers as to why you are feeling the way you are.
I'm an experienced Adult / Young Children and Adolescent Counsellor, focussing in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling, Person Centered, Humanistic, Psychodynamic approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapist.
I specialise in working with individuals with Anxiety, Depression, Panic attacks, Low self-esteem, Lack of confidence, and Stress related issues as well as working with clients experiencing Bereavement, Family or Relationship issues, Separation, Abuse, and many more concerns clients may present in sessions.
As well as working with Adults, I also work with children from the age of 6-18. My therapy uses a combination of tools and techniques such as; Talking therapy, Play therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt therapy, Mindfulness and Solution focused therapy to ensure that we can get you to a place and point in your life where you’re feeling better and are able to move forward in a positive direction.
I am very passionate about the difference that can be made in early intervention and how therapy can support and help Children, Young people and Adults to manage and cope with your current issues and concerns as well as assist you to build up resilience and develop coping strategies to use with any issues or concerns you may face in the rest of your life.
