As an accredited counsellor, I offer CBT/REBT as a therapeutic approach and work with sensitivity and compassion to help people with what is happening in their lives, as well as providing tools and strategies to help them promote their well-being and develop a new alternative outlook in life. We will work together to examine this, so that clarity can be obtained as much as possible. Often when people are feeling a little bit low and not “up to it” in life, it is a sign that their feelings, emotions and behaviours, are out of balance. Our aim is to see if we can break things down and examine the various patterns occurring, so that more helpful ways of looking at those patterns can be incorporated into everyday lives. We will explore together what is important and examine new ways of enriching lives, as much as possible through meanings and purpose. I tend to also enrich the sessions with some mindfulness and compassion as well as Solution Focused Therapy (described below).

Solution Focused Therapy is used in my work as a therapeutic method. The solution focused approach is a strengths-based approach to therapy, focusing on current circumstances and concentrating on solutions building to help the client constructing a preferred future. With gentle and non-judgemental conversations, I will be there to support and help clients finding out their strengths and resources so as to move as much as possible towards this preferred future. This therapy is a kind and respectful approach, with accentuation on what works and what can be developed further. It can be either a stand-alone constructive approach, enriching the tapestry of life, and/or can be used along other therapy styles.
