Hi, my name is Aaren and I am a qualified Person Centred Therapist accredited by the National Counselling Psychotherapy Society. That basically means that I am trained to work by building a professional relationship with each of my clients based on trust, compassion, empathy, genuineness and acceptance (plus, a good laugh when appropriate)

My aim is to create sessions where you feel able to be your genuine and authentic self in a judgement free zone knowing that your emotions and opinions are accepted. I’m a strong believer of working collaboratively with you. After all, you are the expert of your life and I am here to simply help you make sense of your thoughts, feelings and experiences talking with you about the choices available.

I promise not to sit and ask you “how does that make you feel” after everything you mention as I believe that each individual is precisely that… an individual! With different needs/wants when accessing therapy. There is a common stereotype around counselling where we’re pictured to sit and nod, make notes, and give open ended statements. My approach is the opposite of that. I can accept when a situation isn’t great, because after all,if it was, you wouldn't be seeking counselling.

So, if you ever feel like you're simply watching your life pass you by, if you’re struggling to manage or understand your emotions, if things are difficult for you or even if you just need someone to talk to about day to day life, know that there is no right or wrong reason for accessing therapy. I understand that this step in your life is a very personal decision so if you feel ready to reach out, know that I am there to guide you through the process, the emphasis will always be on you remaining in the driver's seat and feeling empowered.

Respect always!
