Life brings us many experiences and sometimes we may find ourselves struggling to make sense of them and what they might mean. Perhaps we have reached an impasse and we are unsure and anxious about what may lay ahead for us. We may have a sense that for some reason we don’t feel ourselves, but we can’t quite put our finger on why.
Hi, I’m Ian and I am a counsellor and therapist. I work with a person-centred approach at my heart. This means that together we will explore any presenting issues or whatever you may bring to a session, and as we work together, I may call on different counselling approaches that may help us on our journey together. This all takes place within a safe, secure and confidential space.
All sessions are ‘client-led’ and thus I hope, provide the space where you may take the time you need to delve a little deeper into whatever maybe felt or evoked, whether verbal or non-verbal. Maybe thoughts, memories or emotions that you have not been aware of before or that may have been supressed.
I offer a longer-term therapeutic relationship and most often this would mean weekly sessions. However, there will always be the space and time to review, so that I may support the therapeutic environment where you feel most comfortable to explore a deeper understanding of yourself and grow.
