The Idea of counselling can be daunting, so well done for getting this far and reaching out, you have taken the first step.
People come to counselling for a number of reasons, a life changing event, grief or loss, you may have low self esteem or suffering from feelings of anxiety or depression
You may be experiencing a lack of direction, feelings of boredom or of being trapped. Perhaps you are experiencing difficulties in a significant relationship, that you are unable to manage in a healthy way. These ongoing issues, without the knowledge and/or support of how to overcome them, may leave you feeling lost and trapped.
Extreme feelings such as anger, shame, guilt, sadness or loneliness may be affecting your daily life, keeping you stuck in an uncomfortable place.
You may not be aware of the reason you want counselling, you may just know something isn't quiet right. Together we can work through the reason and I can offer a confidential space, free of judgement , to enable you to explore your feelings, emotions and work through your current situation. I will work with you, support you in finding the answers you need, and coping strategies to enable you to move forward and achieve your goals
I take an integrative approach to therapy, utilising a number of approaches working with you to decided which style best suits you
The models of psychotherapy I use include Person-Centred, CBT, Psychodynamic and Transactional Analysis.
