I qualified as a psychotherapeutic counsellor in 2019, and am currently studying as a mature student through the Open University for BSc (honours) Psychology with Counselling.
I have completed the National Autism Trainer Programme – Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Community Settings accredited by the Anna Freud Centre. I specialise in neurodiversity and all that it encapsulates, working within a neurodiversity affirmative approach alongside ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
I have worked with children and young people (up to the age of 25) in a variety of settings that include, school and education, mental health hospitals with admissions and discharges, transforming care within the NHS supporting with the NHS Longterm plan for Autism and Learning disability, advocating for inclusion of neurodiversity.
More recently, I am a Neurodiverse and Mental Health Mentor for students in the UK and a family practitioner within my local Norfolk County Council.
