Hello there! My name is Ardaal Gibson and following life's tapestries I decided to embark on a counselling career.
I have always been a kind, caring, empathetic individual and would like to bring my skills to the forefront of therapy for my clients.
Whilst training I worked as a volunteer for Cruse Bereavement for 18 months, I then decided I would like to work with people with Chronic Illness/Chronic Pain as this was something I was well aware of and the impact it has on the sufferers in their lives, along with sadly in a lot of cases the ignorance of others. I volunteered for two years with a company CISFA (Chronic Illness Support For All). I was at the time their only counsellor.
Following my work with CISFA I wanted to develop more and I joined an American Online Therapy Service and started working with them. I was with them for around two years, and then I moved to another company dealing with NHS referrals whereby I am today, along with building my private practice.

I am integrative counsellor and my approach to your therapy will be using techniques across many different modalities to help you best during our working time together. I use a variety of techniques these include Person- Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to name a few.

I have a lot of experience both from a Care Home setting to personal experience of the difficulties faced by relatives of those suffering from Cognitive Impairment. I appreciate how difficult it is to accept that your family member is not whom they were before and this is challenging and devastating to families and I am happy to be there as a listening ear and where possible giving you the tools to make life a little easier for yourself and if possible those suffering personally.

It is a difficult decision to access therapy, but there is nothing to be scared of it is a way of expressing yourself and what life has brought to you so far, good, bad and sometimes ugly. The thing to remember is that if you are happy to engage fully in sessions in a private, confidential way with a person that really does care change can occur no matter how hard things may feel right now.
