Hi I'm Marta and I am a qualified counsellor working privately with adults online or by telephone.
I offer counselling in an integrative way, which means that I adapt my work to the client in front of me and their specific needs. My aim is to provide a safe, empathic and warm space, where we create a therapeutic alliance in which the client feels heard and not judged.
I work with a variety of issues, as you can see below, however my focus is always to look at the person as a whole and not judge one's choices but explore, understand and support the person.
I can offer appointments both in English and Portuguese.
My background includes a Master's degree in Clinical and Health Psychology and a level 5 qualification in Psychotherapeutic counselling. I have also worked in various roles and settings within mental health such as a psychiatric hospital, a recovery home, mental health charities and companies, and in the NHS in the cancer centre and in the community mental health team.
I am fully insured as well.
