Mates in Mind

I hold Professional Accreditation status with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) I am subscribed to an Accredited Register (NCPS) that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. Acceptance onto this register demonstrates my commitment to high professional standards, to enhancing safety and delivering a better service.

My qualification for clinical supervision is a Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision (Derby University) and the course is quality checked by the NCPS.

I maintain enhanced DBS checks. I abide by the ethical framework of the NCPS (Code of Ethics).

I work with some of the largest Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) and health insurers in the UK (a current list can be found here) to deliver local help (via face to face, telephone and online services) and nationwide help (via telephone and online services).

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is very important to me and I regularly attend professional development days, workshops and courses.

I feel that I have (and that we all have) a lot of very varied life-experience, which taught me that not only is it 'good to talk' - it can be vital. I believe that psychological and emotional well-being is just as important as physical well-being. I believe that you, as the client, need your own space to discover yourself and understand what YOU need, and though I can help facilitate this process, you must be prepared to work for yourself within therapy, and reap your own rewards. I believe it is most important that you find the right therapist for you before you begin your journey of healing.
