Hello, I'm Joe.
I believe everybody is fundamentally 'OK'. We are all able to think for ourselves, and should be allowed to do so, and we are all capable of making decisions, and changing them.
That does not mean we feel 'able' to think, or work things out. It does not mean we believe, deep down, that we can do these things.
I believe that through counselling we can learn to unlock our abilities, to uncover our deep feelings and emotions, and learn new ways of being in the world.
I use Transactional Analysis as the core model for our work together, whilst cherry-picking bits of other models as needed. These models are just useful ways of understanding what goes on in our inner world, and can help us to understand why, and what changes we may wish to make.
If you choose to work with me you will find we will be equals, working together, toward goals that you and I agree on.
