Unfulfilled? Angry? Have a decision to make? Lost your mojo, or just want more from life? Whatever you're currently experiencing, together we can create the life story you want.

I’m a Transactional Analyst (4 years training in this 70-year old school of psychology) - we focus on looking at your internal dialogues and relationships to reveal the patterns that limit you - your "Script".

There are all sorts of “labels” you may have heard of around mental health. To me these describe common ways to cope, all of which have a root cause, like a splinter. And that splinter can be removed for greater peace, contentment and potency.

My method
Weekly 1 hour sessions, plus optional homework and access to my 12-module online toolkit, which we'll use in our sessions.

With me you'll get a two-way conversation. Mostly I listen, very carefully, and then incorporate theory & visual models to illuminate and help you explore what's going on for you.

I'll always intend to be warm, non-judgemental and supportive, and from that perspective we'll work together to resolve your "Script".

"Script": This is our overarching but unconscious roadmap for how we are and how life shall be lived. Humans learn from experience and need to make sense of their experiences; so we unconsciously form a "Life Script". Without a storyline children get lost. Trouble is, that Script may well be limiting you as an adult. We'll tackle this.
Focussing on:
- What goes on inside you (your internal conflicts): We all have different parts or states of mind. We're not just one thing. Getting to know the aspects of you uncovers where things might be stuck.
- What goes on outside in your relationships (the "Games" we play): The repetitive behavioural patterns we fall into in life attempt to fulfil our need to be seen, heard, loved, but instead they reinforce negative feelings and beliefs and mask the direct expression of thoughts and emotions.

Through these methods we come to understand what you've experienced and how you function as a result. This helps you accept yourself, or decide to change what you want to change.

You’re welcome to email me with any questions or to discuss your needs and wants. I look forward to hearing from you and to working together to create your unique life story.

  • Qualifications & Experience
    1) 6 years+ of my own personal psychotherapy. I list this first as I believe the effectiveness of any therapist is strongly linked to the level of their own self-awareness. You can only take people as far as you've got yourself.

    2) Psychotherapist (Advanced Diploma, Masters Level 7) – completing the formal 4-year training to be a Psychotherapist. UKCP accreditation expected autumn 2024.

    3) Diploma in Counselling (advanced Transactional Analysis, Level 6) – a three-year course Accredited by the NCPS and UKATA giving a solid grounding in human development, as well as the practical skills to work directly with people.

    4) Advanced Certificate in Counselling – skills based applied practice.

    5) BSc Hons Psychology (1st class) – the academic scientific study of the human mind and its functions, especially those affecting behaviour. This does not qualify anyone to practice with clients; I list it to show my long-term interest and academic study.
