    Experience
I have ten years of experience as a teacher based in inner-city schools across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire with high levels of deprivation, holding various roles within the school. I was a member of the senior leadership team who was responsible for the personal, social and emotional development, nurturing, and mental health of the children and I was tasked with building positive relationships and experiences with the local community.
I ran and led the nurture group for children, held parent meetings (for social and support purposes), and liaised with outside agencies to ensure the safety and security of children and their parents both in and out of the school environment.

Following my interest and enthusiasm for supporting those most vulnerable, I focussed on a career change. I have worked with Place2Be, offering focussed 1-1 counselling sessions with children aged 6-10 years in a primary school setting. I have also worked with charities and other businesses to support individuals suffering trauma from childhood, relationships or acute/single experiences.
