Hi, I’m Nicole, a psychotherapist based in Greater Manchester, working both face to face and online. I’m trained as a pluralistic counsellor, meaning that I can tailor my counselling approach to meet each individuals needs. You may benefit from a more structured, solution focused approach such as CBT or you may desire to delve deeper into your past and how this impacts your present with a psychodynamic approach. Whichever approach is right for you, I will be there to help you explore your feelings and experiences and work towards your goals in your own time.

The most important aspect of therapy, I believe, is the client-counsellor relationship. Just like every client is different, every counsellor is different to. I work to ensure that you feel comfortable, safe, respected and heard within our sessions. I want to create an environment where you can be your true self and express yourself fully. There is no rush, healing takes times and we will move through sessions at your own pace.

Every persons story is different and unique to them and I will be there to listen to your personal story, help you process your experiences and work with you to find ways to overcome your difficulties.

Through my own difficulties with mental health, I realized the importance of speaking about our difficulties and not keeping them locked away inside of us. The hidden challenges we face each day can wear us down and it can be helpful to have somebody alongside you on your journey to help guide you through the storm.

For children aged 6+ I offer play therapy as a way for them to express, understand and communicate their thoughts and feelings. By entering their world through play, we are able to help them identify their difficulties, find coping strategies for their difficulties and supporting them to reach their goals.

A few quick facts about me (as I think it’s nice to know a little about who you will be sharing some of your most personal difficulties with):
- I love singing and dancing
- I love to bake (Victoria sponge cake and jam tarts are my favourite!)
- I have a Labrador dog who loves to swim!

I am a fully insured member of the NCS and attend monthly supervision alongside CPD to keep my knowledge and skills up to date.
