Hi there! I'm Tim, a pluralistic* counsellor based in Anstey, Leicestershire. I personally believe that everybody has the capacity to heal and flourish. Some people require support to do this and that is where counselling can assist.
My goal is that when you finish therapy, you leave with a new perspective and feel better equipped to handle whatever life may have in store for you.
I have experience working with a diverse range of individuals. Alongside my private practice; Tandem Counselling, I also have experience working as a Self-Harm Therapist with Harmless; a specialist self-harm organisation, as a College Counsellor in a Leicestershire College, and as a Counsellor for Opcare; supporting amputees.
*What does pluralistic mean? This means that I am trained in several different types of counselling and together we can explore which route, or routes, would be the most effective for you. A few types of counselling I’m trained in include Psychodynamic, Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt. If you are unfamiliar with these do not worry, we can discuss the differences over the phone or in an initial consultation.
