Jane Margaret Bellamy

Member Status: Accredited

Member No: NCS20-01255

Location: Lincoln

My name is Jane Bellamy I qualified as a counsellor in 2006 and started my private practice the same year called Affinity Counselling Service, in 2008 I launched Lindum College with the sole purpose of training people to become counsellors and continuing professional development for counsellors already qualified that wish to enhance their skills. Lindum College Sponsors Lindum Counselling which is a free counselling service which provides placements for our trainee counsellors
Lindum College, Lindum Counselling and Affinity Counselling are based at Greetwell Place in Lincoln and in all three areas I adhere to high ethical standards
Over the past 15 years I have been privileged to share the counselling journey of many clients and help them to gain self-confidence, improve their self-esteem, accept that which cannot be changed, deal with issues and move on with their lives. Much of my work centres around loss which can take many forms. Losses such as employment, homes, relationships, independence, body parts and the ultimate loss which is death.
I offer one-to-one therapeutic counselling and clinical supervision
I am an accredited registrant member of National Counselling Society and abide by their code of ethics
My work is CONFIDENTIAL, EMPATHIC and NON-JUDGEMENTAL
I work as integrative counsellor using different models to ensure the work is right for my clients
I believe that everyone has the potential to be whatever they want to be, but life experiences get in the way of this happening. As an experienced counsellor my aim is to empower you to make the changes that release the potential within you and to help you move forward with your life or simply accept who you are
My Supervision Practice
I work with students and qualified counsellors with the aim of assisting them in their practice and student to help them achieve their qualification and support them during their placement.
I believe that supervision is a supportive collaborative process that puts the client at the forefront of the work whilst supporting the supervisee(counsellor) in a non-judgemental empathic manner.
