Where our differences are recognised and applauded as strengths as ttherapists. Whether you are a neurodiverse client or not, maybe an autistic counsellor is for you.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself, just as I am, then I can change.” - Carl Rogers.
I offer a safe space where you identify any learnt messages and separate them from who you really are, not who you have become, by trying to conform and please the world and others. Through an neurodiverse-affirmative therapeutic lens, I support you in recognising and celebrating your differences while understanding the effect of social expectations and judgements on how you view those differences. You are the expert on you, but you may have just lost your voice.
I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist; my initial core training was in the person-centred model, but I also have training and experience in cognitive behaviour therapy, gestalt, and creative methods. I use psychoeducation, lived experience and my natural AuDHD strengths, such as cognitive understanding and pattern-finding, to help you gain new insights and awareness.
