With a warm and non-judgemental approach, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I am a fully qualified, insured and GDPR/ICO-registered counsellor. The clients and presenting issues that I work with are diverse, though I'm particularly interested in helping people cope with life changes & relationships, along with helping my clients manage anxiety, depression and low self-esteem.

I have a solid working knowledge of the person-centred approach, and this allows me to provide a personalised and empathetic relationship that is tailored to the unique needs of each individual. This type of counselling puts you in control and the sessions are led by yourself - I won't tell you what we should talk about or assume I know more about you than you do. You are the expert in your own life, after all! We will work together to help you to identify what you would like to change and how you might be able to do that within a safe space. I'm down to earth, relateable and very, very human!

I'm extremely passionate about helping people find their own inner strength and resources, and providing a safe space for them to find their own answers and solutions to what has brought them to counselling. I also have a particular interest in supporting people to find more meaning in their lives, and often bring elements of existential and pluralistic approaches into the way in which I practice. I've had over six years of intensive personal therapy as part of my own training journey, and so have a good understanding of what therapy can be like from a client's perspective.

    As part of my commitment to continued professional development I attend various CPD courses in different topics and therapeutic approaches including existential and transpersonal therapies, addiction training, neurodiversity, mental health awareness, diversity, etc... I keep up to date with new approaches and do an absolute minimum of 30 CPD hours each year, in line with NCPS requirements.

    I have experience of working as a counsellor for one of the UK's largest mental health charities in addition to my voluntary work with the NHS. I have also taught CPCAB-accredited counselling courses, and have over twenty years of experience supporting those in need at a leadership level within the public sector.
