You can expect to be met by me with warmth and empathy. I'll be alongside you as you work through the challenges that brought you to counselling, as you seek clarity and find your voice. Counselling can be a really powerful space to process the more hidden elements of ourselves and I will be there to walk with you as you face the potent things in life that have caused you turbulence and pain.
I've always worked in pastoral-type roles as I love working with people. I've worked with a diverse cross-section of society and I appreciate the value of all these interactions for building up a solid bank of life experience.
Alongside counselling, I've worked in primary education for the last 9 years as pastoral support for our young people, and more recently as family support and safeguarding. Counselling has felt like a natural progression to the work I've done so far, and I love the fact I'll never have all the answers and I can be endlessly curious about what it is to be human!
My interest is in learning about the impact of trauma and much of my CPD is geared towards building my knowledge and experience in order to help those I work with.
I'm also keen on working with NeuroDiverse clients. Having worked closely with young people for nearly a decade, many of them with ASD and ADHD, I have an understanding of the impact these conditions can have in so many parts of life. I have also worked with NeuroDiverse adults and have witnessed the impact that a long-term lack of understanding from a NeuroTypical world can have.
When working with me, you are welcome to be completely you.
