I appreciate that considering counselling can be intimidating so thank you for taking the time to read my profile. By acknowledging there is a difficulty and asking for help you have already taken the first, often hardest step. People come to counselling for many different reasons, a specific difficulty or issue, a traumatic experience, feeling stuck or frustrated with life, wanting to make sense of a past event, low self esteem, feeling anxiety, stress, or depression. Counselling can help you to explore and understand your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe, confidential, non judgemental space.

For the last 3 years I have worked in a higher and further education college supporting students with issues including abuse, anxiety, autism, carer support, chronic illness and disability, depression, family issues, LGBT, relationships, self confidence, self esteem, self harm, sexuality, stress, suicidal thoughts, and trauma. Now I work with adults and young people, supporting them as they make progress through their sessions, exploring and gaining understanding of their difficulties, identifying new coping skills, strengths, and solutions, and being able to live life to their full potential.

Having been a carer for 20 years I have an interest in supporting carer and neurodivergent clients and aim to make therapy as comfortable and accessible as possible, for example accommodating sensory needs. Please get in touch to discuss how I can support you.

I provide person centred counselling incorporating techniques from other models where it will help a client. I work face to face, online, and by telephone. Please get in touch to arrange a free, informal chat so we can discuss your needs, I can answer any questions you may have and we can learn a little about each other, for me to hear about you and for you to consider how I may be able to help you in moving forwards. I look forward to hearing from you.
