I am a pluralistic counsellor, which means tailoring my methods to suit each client’s needs. In practice this means I have a person-centred foundation and then include CBT to understand thoughts and behaviours, and psychodynamic approaches to explore internalised beliefs and past events.
Through careful reflection and exploration, I aim to help clients gain insight and identify their strengths and resources to find a way forward. Above all I provide a confidential space for clients to express themselves, acknowledging that sometimes it’s easier to talk to a skilled person than those closest to you.
Taking the first step towards counselling takes courage, but together we can navigate through your journey towards healing and growth.
My membership with the NCPS means I abide by their code of ethics and have regular clinical supervision.
Alongside my private practice I work as a counsellor for The Nelson Trust. The way I like to relax is being creative with different arts and crafts, my creativity is something I bring to the counselling sessions if suitable for the client.
I offer a free 30 minute informal chat, which can be by telephone or online to suit you.
This is an opportunity for us to meet, explore why you are looking to begin counselling, and for you to ask any questions you may have before making any commitment.
