Hi! i'm Charly,
I have over 10 years’ experience as a Psychotherapist, trained in a varied range of theories.
I am passionate about empowering adults to develop good relationships, with themselves and others. In particular, I have a special heart for mental health and self-awareness.
As a Psychotherapist, I am trained in different evidence-based therapeutic approaches and therefore, adopt a blended holistic approach in my practice. However my main approaches include; Integrative, Humanistic and Systemic therapy.
I am accredited and governed by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and as a member, I work within the required standards and principles, as well as the ‘Ethical Framework for Counsellors’, according to the (BACP) British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
In Individual therapy, I support adults to explore their struggles that may be impacting their mental wellbeing, so to develop a stronger self-awareness and self-esteem. And in Couples therapy, I support partners, marital or premarital, to listen through dialogue, the concerns that may affect their commitments, to one another.
Issues and concerns have included; stress, communication breakdown, anxiety, depression, infidelity, divorce, bereavement, coping skills, marital and pre-marital alignment, family conflict, life transitions, parenting self-awareness
As well as my own private practice, I also currently work for 'Relate', as a Relationship Counsellor, supporting couples and individuals to safely explore their thoughts, feelings, and behavioural patterns, that may negatively impact their relationship, as well as volunteering with a charitable organisation, as a helpline volunteer, to support adults who live with PTSD, trauma, depression, and anxiety, as an impact of sexual abuse and rape.
If you are considering counselling, I provide short term and long-term therapy, depending on your needs, so to get to a place of clarity, growth, and change.
