I volunteered within the South Western Ambulance Service for nearly two years in their Staying Well Service, this has given me extensive experience of helping those who have experienced trauma, Post Traumatic Stress and everyday common mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and recently Covid related health issues such as long Covid.
Having worked in the care sector for over 20 years in various settings, I have had the privilege of working alongside wide and diverse groups of people with varying levels of support needs.
Integrative working means that we can draw on a wide range of theories, practices and techniques in order to enable us to individualise the most appropriate approach for you. This will be at your pace and in your own time, when you are ready.
Its so easy to just keep ploughing on and not allow ourselves the time to take care of our own mental wellbeing, often life gets in the way of life. Make this your time, put yourself first.
I offer empathic counselling online and by telephone however, if you prefer face to face I have a confidential safe and private room where we can meet if you are in the North Devon area. I offer a free initial call to see if counselling is something you would like to pursue with me and give you opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
I work with adults and young people covering all areas of support. I prefer evenings and Saturdays but am happy to find a time that suits us both.
