I have experience working with clients (both adults, children, and young people) who have experienced a bereavement (including suicide bereavement and death of a child), a loss, abuse and/or trauma of any kind. I have supported clients with depression, anxiety, and /or suicidal thoughts and ideation. I am also well equipped to support clients struggling to find some meaning to their existence. Also, I also feel confident working with cultural, identity, and fertility issues.
I take a holistic approach to mental health: I look at the whole person not just their mental health needs. My support then also considers your physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing.
My aim is to help you navigate life challenges and make positive changes, find yourself or know yourself better, and/or empower you to be the best version of yourself so that you can live a happier and more meaningful existence. I believe you know yourself best, you are the master of your own destiny and able to work out the solutions to your own problems. I will not give you advice or tell you what to do, but I will facilitate perspectives on the issues presented for you to consider and reflect on. Most importanty, I will walk beside you and adapt to your needs and supporting you along your indivudual counselling journey with the tools to help you work out solutions and teaching you coping skills.
I love working with diversity and welcome clients of all races, religions, sexes, ages and walks of life.
