I have been working as a counsellor in private practice since 2011 but my work experience and career background prior to that was in admin/HR, staff management and employment law within the civil service and HR/personnel & staff management within the public sector.
Voluntary work during my training and subsequent work as a qualified counsellor includes Cruse Bereavement Care, Northorpe Hall Child & Family Trust as well as voluntary work with a local Church.
I worked with Leeds MIND as a job retention specialist for 18 months working with employees with mental health issues, supporting them back into work after sickness absence or helping employers to put measures in place to support employees struggling with their mental health to remain at or in work.
I have been running my practice on a full time basis since July 2015.
