My name is Colin, I am highly experienced MBACP/NCS accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist. Working as a therapist for well over a decade, I am an experienced and skilled and individual with extensive knowledge of therapy. In this time, I have provided support and assistance to people who may have experienced a myriad of conditions such as anxiety, depression, addiction related issues, personality disorders, ADHD, and lack of motivation, I provide an online service which means that you can work from the comfort of your own home, avoiding issues such as geography, commuting, parking, time, and other inconveniences.
Over the years I have worked in a variety of services, including mental health, learning disabilities, addiction, and brain-injury. I have experience and a proven track record of excellent conflict resolution, I am determined and committed to my work and believe strongly in promoting social inclusion, as well as mentoring and supporting clients, partners. parents, carers, and service users. Flexible in my approach to work, I am skilled at managing change; caseload, cultural and process, and building solid working relationships with clients, families, and external agencies.
I have experience liaising with service users from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures, developing my anti-discriminatory practice and understanding of interpersonal dynamics. My approach the therapy is integrative, with the core-conditions at the corner stone of my practice. As I believe that each individual is unique, I utilise a number of modalities including Person-Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Solution-Focused and Existential and whatever works for the client. I demonstrate a calm and understanding approach which is always collaborative.
