Life can sometimes feel overwhelming and isolating, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m here to offer a safe, open space where you’ll feel genuinely heard and supported as we work together toward meaningful change.
My practice is shaped by years of working closely with people and is guided by values of openness, care, relationship, acceptance, and empowerment. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process, tailored to your unique needs. Together, we’ll explore ways to help you develop resilience, self-compassion, and practical tools to manage life’s complexities with confidence and purpose.
I support individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including:
-Emotional wellbeing: Managing anxiety, insecurity, overwhelm, and burnout.
-Mental health: Addressing depression, stress, ADHD, addiction, self-criticism, and enhancing self-care.
-Identity and confidence: Low self-esteem, addressing LGBT+ issues, and overcoming limiting beliefs.
-Relationships: Improving communication, intimacy, and handling family issues.
-Trauma and loss: Navigating bereavement, trauma, chronic illness, and life transitions.
My approach to therapy:
My approach is integrative and collaborative, drawing from a range of therapeutic methods to meet your unique needs.
-Empathy and trust: Together, we’ll build a safe, non-judgmental space where you can freely explore your thoughts and feelings. Clients often find this space invaluable for processing both present and past challenges.
-Empowering you: Therapy is your journey, and I’m here to walk alongside you, offering support, guidance, and thoughtful challenges to help you focus on what truly matters.
-Mind-body connection: Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Gestalt Therapy, we’ll explore how your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations interact, fostering self-awareness and providing effective tools for managing stress.
-Building resilience: Through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we’ll work on accepting difficult emotions while staying grounded in your core values, helping you navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence.
-Self-compassion and acceptance: With Person-Centred Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS), we’ll cultivate a sense of kindness and understanding toward yourself, even in the most difficult moments.
-Practical tools: Therapy should be practical and impactful. Together, we’ll develop strategies that seamlessly integrate into your daily life, enhancing your relationships, routines, and overall wellbeing.

Client experiences:
-“Martin is kind and patient. We were able to unpick issues I had buried in my childhood and heal with the present day. I've come away able to communicate how I'm feeling to others more kindly.” – G
-“The work Martin and I did together was life-changing. Everyone around me noticed the difference between where I started and where I am now. He provides a very safe, empathetic space, asks thoughtful questions, and offers validation. I appreciated that he brings his own personality and subjectivity to our sessions.” – J
-“Martin is really kind, thoughtful, and patient. He allowed enough time to build trust before jumping into anything heavy, which has helped me process what’s happening now as well as past issues.” – C
-“I've dabbled in therapy over the years with limited success but having started working with Martin, I'm finding it hugely fascinating and illuminating. Martin's approach is calm, considerate, and patient.” – J
