Hi, my name is Rebecca Phipps. I am a BACP Accredited counsellor with experience working with a diverse range of clients, supporting with trauma, shame, mental distress, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, amongst many other issues. I have extensive experience with charities offering emotional support to people with suicidal ideation and survivors of abuse and sexual violence.

I will support you through your distressing thoughts and feelings, working alongside you to help you find your own solutions. Taking the first step to make positive change in your life may seem daunting, however you don’t have to feel as though you are facing this challenge on your own, as I'll be by your side as we take this journey together. I will offer you empathy and congruence in a non-judgemental safe space enabling you to feel heard and understood.

Although it may not always be possible to change your circumstances, learning to develop coping strategies can help build emotional resilience and empower you to make positive change. Taking small steps towards positive change can lead to big changes in your life.

Whatever your issues may be, talking through your difficulties or experiences can help you process your trauma or uncomfortable emotions, enabling you to find an inner sense of calm. We'll always work at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you in a relaxing counselling setting.

My private practice is in Middlesbrough. Free off road parking is available.
